What a joyful weekend working with Ashta and her lovely family for her multiply day wedding to Anthony. So many magic moments as we prepared for day 1, a traditional Indian style celebration and day 2, western ceremony. I can't thank Ashta & her family enough for having my team and I be part of such a special occasion. My favourite part of this very special wedding was all the goose bump authentic moments shared by this beautiful family that I got to be the observer of in such a special space. As all the woman of the family came together, there was a such a feeling of "secret woman's business" and traditions passed through generation as all the girls dressed in their bright saris and painted traditional floral patterns on each others faces. It was a truly magical treat for the scenes with the perfume of fresh jasmine floating through the air, spices from the food being prepared, bright colours in fabrics, flowers and decoration in every direction. Van Middleton captured the weekend and all it's spectacular colour.
They didn't have the best of luck with the weather, but wow they make the best of it and continued on with the celebration. Ashta didn't let it phase her for a second and that beautiful bright smile continuted to light up the room and everyone around her from the moment we started the preparation in the early morning till they were dancing in the rain at the end of the second evening.
